To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Garden Conservancy, Page helped create and edited “Outstanding American Gardens: A Celebration—25 Years of the Garden Conservancy.” Page will present a stunning selection of the public and private gardens the Conservancy has helped to save and share since 1989, with the gardens beautifully photographed by Marion Brenner. These gardens offer an amazing display of the unbounded resourcefulness of the American gardener and will inspire current and future garden enthusiasts.Page Dickey has been gardening passionately since her early twenties. She writes about gardening, garden design, and America’s gardens. She has written several books including Gardens in the Spirit of Place, Breaking Ground, and Inside Out. Her first book and most recent book (Duck Hill Journal and Embroidered Ground) are about Duck Hill where she lived and gardened for thirty years. Page also writes for magazines, including House and Garden, House Beautiful, Horticulture, Elle Décor, Fine Gardening, and Garden Design.  She co-founded the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Program in 1995 and has served on the Board of the Garden Conservancy since 2004. She also serves on the boards of Stonecrop, Frank Cabot’s garden in Cold Spring, NY and Hollister House in Washington, CT.
Following the lecture, Page will be signing attendees’ pre-purchased copies of the book Outstanding American Gardens.  Additional copies will be available for purchase on the day of the lecture by cash or check for $35.
