Gardening with Roses by Stephen Scanniello

From 11:30 am – 12 pm, watch three talented floral designers create fabulous arrangements featuring roses.
Sandra Lamo, A Special Place; Gwen Love, Garden Club of Hartford and Beth Montgelas, Connecticut Valley Garden Club.
Lunch will be from 12 – 1 pm followed by the lecture and book signing.

Learn how to use roses in your garden and landscape to get the most beautiful results. With an emphasis
on climbing roses, old garden roses and structural elements, Stephen will share his secrets for making
your garden interesting year-round. Featuring the gardens of his private clients and public rose
gardens he has designed. Stephen is the Curator of the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden at the New York Botanical Garden
and Consulting Rosarian for Elizabeth Park Conservancy. Stephen is the President of the
Heritage Rose Foundation and author of six books on roses. His latest book, A Rose by Any
Name, was the inspiration for the creation of the Heritage Rose District of New York City and will
be available for purchase. Stephen is the recipient of a number of awards for his work, and enjoys
growing many roses in his Barnegat, NJ garden.
